01Should I study in Australia, the USA or Canada?
There is no single choice that suits everyone. The USA has many universities and scholarships but high costs; Australia and Canada offer good study environments, but their policies on international students and settlement change frequently. KPV advises you based on your family’s budget, field of study, English proficiency and post-graduation goals.
02What IELTS score do I need to study in Australia, the USA or Canada?
Undergraduate programmes usually require IELTS 6.0–6.5 and postgraduate programmes 6.5 or above; some fields such as medicine, nursing and teacher training require higher scores. If your score is not yet high enough, you can join a university’s English preparation course or foundation programme. Some US universities accept TOEFL or the Duolingo English Test.
03How much does it cost to study in Australia, the USA or Canada?
Costs include tuition fees, living expenses, health insurance, visa fees and air tickets, and vary widely by university, field of study and city. Generally the USA has the highest tuition fees, with Australia and Canada lower. KPV prepares a detailed cost estimate for your chosen university before your application is prepared.
04How many hours can international students work?
Under current regulations: in Australia, up to 48 hours per fortnight during term time; in Canada, up to 24 hours per week of off-campus work during term time; in the USA, F-1 visa students may mainly work only on campus, up to 20 hours per week during term time. Regulations may change and should be checked again when you apply.
05What does a student visa application for Australia, the USA or Canada need to demonstrate?
You will usually need an offer letter from the school, proof of funds to cover tuition and living expenses, an English language certificate, academic records and qualifications, a clear study plan and a clean background. The USA also requires an interview at the Embassy or Consulate. An honest and consistent application is the most important factor.
06What support does KPV offer for studying in Australia, the USA or Canada – and is the visa guaranteed?
KPV supports you in choosing a country, university and field of study, IELTS preparation, preparing your admission and visa applications, and interview practice. Visa decisions rest with each country’s consular authorities, so KPV makes no commitment regarding visa approval, employment or settlement.
