Japan with KPV: Technical intern trainees · Study abroad

Japanese from N5, technical intern trainee pathways and study abroad in Japan – occupations are set out for each programme only where there is an official basis.

Japanese gives an advantage to learners who plan to study, train or work in companies with Japanese connections. Alongside language skills, learners also gain knowledge of Japanese culture, work etiquette and communication in a Japanese environment.

Visa, financial, certificate, tuition fee and part-time work requirements are updated in line with the official regulations of each country and each programme at the time of consultation.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Japan

See more questions
01Can I register if I don’t know any Japanese?

Yes. KPV assesses your profile and starting level, then places you in the Japanese N5 class geared towards technical intern trainees. Specific language requirements depend on each programme and are communicated before you register.

02How does a technical intern trainee differ from a seasonal worker?

The two schemes have different purposes, durations and regulations: internship programmes aim to give exposure to a real working environment, build professional conduct and gain experience; seasonal work means doing seasonal jobs in a receiving locality under a contract. The specific requirements of each programme are stated on the programme page.

03When are participation costs published?

The cost table is published on the programme page before you register, and you should read it carefully before signing a contract. Programmes without a complete cost table are not advertised on the website.

04Does KPV guarantee that I will pass the interview?

No. Interview results are decided by the recruiting organisation. KPV helps you prepare your documents, language skills and interview practice, but does not guarantee interview success, visas or income levels.

05Can my family join the consultation?

Yes. KPV encourages families to listen and decide together, especially in the case of school and university students. You can add a note when booking or let your adviser know.
